Wacker Neuson Group Expands Agricultural Equipment Portfolio with Weidemann Launch in the U.S.

Wacker Neuson Group has officially introduced its Weidemann range of agricultural wheel loaders and telehandlers to the United States, marking a significant expansion of the company’s North American agricultural equipment business following the brand’s successful rollout in Canada.

The move forms part of Wacker Neuson Group’s long-term growth strategy to strengthen its presence in the agricultural sector while maintaining distinct market positioning across its portfolio of equipment brands, which includes Wacker Neuson, Kramer, Weidemann, and Enar.

Having acquired Weidemann in 2005, Wacker Neuson Group has leveraged the German manufacturer’s decades of expertise in agricultural machinery while continuing to develop separate product offerings for the construction and farming industries.

Dedicated Focus on Agriculture

Although Wacker Neuson and Weidemann both manufacture compact loading equipment, each brand serves a different customer base. Wacker Neuson remains focused on construction applications, while Weidemann is dedicated exclusively to agriculture, offering equipment specifically designed to meet the daily demands of livestock, crop, and mixed farming operations.

According to Gert Reichetseder, President and CEO Americas at Wacker Neuson Group, the launch reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the agricultural market.

“With Weidemann dedicated to agriculture and Wacker Neuson focused on construction, we can offer the right products and expertise to each market. We see significant growth potential for Weidemann’s proven agricultural equipment concept across North America.”

Manuel Meyer, Director of Ag Business for Weidemann North America, added that the brand has built its reputation by developing equipment specifically for farm operations.

“Weidemann’s DNA has always been agriculture. Our machines are engineered to tackle everyday farm tasks, from feeding livestock to handling bales and materials. Our expansion into the U.S. is focused on building long-term relationships with farmers and dealers.”

Equipment Designed for Modern Farming

The Weidemann product range includes compact farm loaders, articulated wheel loaders, telescopic wheel loaders, and compact telehandlers, providing solutions for a wide variety of agricultural material handling applications.

The compact Farm Loader series—including the 1160, 1260LP, and 1390 models—offers excellent manoeuvrability, a low centre of gravity, compact dimensions, and powerful lifting performance, making the machines well suited to confined farmyards, livestock facilities, and poultry operations.

For larger and more demanding applications, the 2060 and 4060 Articulated Wheel Loaders combine strong lifting capacity with excellent manoeuvrability, allowing operators to handle feed, fertiliser, grain, silage, and other bulk materials efficiently.

The company’s Telescopic Wheel Loaders—including the 2060T, 3080T, 4060T, 5080T, and 9580T—feature extendable telescopic arms that provide increased lifting height and reach compared with conventional wheel loaders, enabling farmers to stack bales, load trailers, and perform a wider range of material handling tasks.

Completing the portfolio are the T4512, T6025, and T7042 Compact Telehandlers, which combine all-wheel drive, high lifting performance, excellent visibility, and advanced operator assistance systems to improve productivity and safety during loading and stacking operations.

Opportunities for Agricultural Markets

As mechanisation continues to transform farming worldwide, demand for compact, versatile material handling equipment is increasing across both developed and emerging agricultural markets.

For regions such as Africa, where livestock production, commercial farming, and agribusiness continue to expand, specialised loaders and telehandlers can help improve operational efficiency, reduce labour requirements, and enhance productivity across dairy, poultry, grain, and mixed farming enterprises.

By introducing Weidemann as a dedicated agricultural brand, Wacker Neuson Group is strengthening its ability to provide farmers with equipment specifically engineered to meet the evolving demands of modern agriculture while supporting sustainable and efficient farm operations.
