LiuGong has unveiled its new-generation T Series wheel loaders, introducing significant improvements in operator comfort, machine performance, and serviceability. The new range was showcased at ConExpo 2026, with the 842T and 856T becoming the first models to enter the market.
Designed specifically to meet the needs of North American operators, the T Series focuses on increasing productivity, maximizing machine uptime, and improving the overall operating experience. The 842T introduces a new size category to LiuGong’s wheel loader lineup, while the 856T represents an upgraded version of the company’s globally popular wheel loader platform.
Both machines are powered by Cummins Tier 4 Final engines paired with ZF five-speed transmissions featuring lock-up torque converters. This combination delivers faster loading cycles, improved fuel efficiency, and higher travel speeds, enabling operators to move materials more efficiently on job sites. Limited-slip differentials fitted to both front and rear axles further enhance traction while helping to reduce tyre wear.
A major highlight of the new series is the redesigned operator cab. LiuGong reports a 30% increase in legroom and a 20% improvement in visibility compared to previous models. The larger cab is equipped with a heated and ventilated air-suspension seat, adjustable steering wheel, customizable electro-hydraulic controls, ride control adjustments, heated power mirrors, and an advanced 360-degree camera system with object detection technology.
The company has also placed considerable emphasis on simplifying maintenance. The T Series comes standard with an automatic lubrication system, programmable reversing fan, and ground-level access to key service points, allowing technicians to perform routine inspections more efficiently. Enhanced LED lighting around maintenance areas improves visibility during servicing and daily inspections, particularly in low-light conditions.
Technology integration has also been expanded through the inclusion of LiuGong’s iLink Telematics system as standard equipment on diesel-powered machines above 100 horsepower and across its electric equipment range. The system monitors more than 250 machine parameters, providing fleet managers with access to machine location, operational data, and remote diagnostic capabilities that can help reduce downtime and improve maintenance planning.
In addition to the diesel-powered T Series models, LiuGong introduced two new electric wheel loaders for the North American market: the compact 820TE and the larger 870HE. These battery-powered machines feature the same upgraded cab design while offering the advantages of zero-emission operation, lower noise levels, instant torque delivery, reduced maintenance requirements, and lower operating costs.
The electric models are particularly suited for urban construction projects, municipal operations, and indoor applications where emissions and noise restrictions are increasingly important. According to LiuGong, the battery systems have already demonstrated durability in demanding applications and are supported by comprehensive warranty coverage designed to provide long-term reliability and customer confidence.
The new T Series wheel loaders are expected to arrive at LiuGong dealerships during the third quarter of 2026, strengthening the manufacturer’s position in both the conventional and electric construction equipment markets.
