New Holland has launched its T7 Standard Wheelbase tractor range, designed to give mixed-farming operators greater versatility, lifting capacity and manoeuvrability across a wide range of daily tasks.
Mixed-farming operations require tractors capable of handling everything from loader work and livestock activities to hay production, transport and paddock applications. New Holland says the new T7 range has been developed to meet these demands while maintaining the performance, comfort and technology associated with larger tractors.
“Mixed farming businesses need tractors that can handle a range of jobs across the day,” said Seamus McCarthy, New Holland’s product manager.
“The new T7 Standard Wheelbase delivers more lifting capacity, greater carrying capacity and a tighter turning circle, giving operators more flexibility without sacrificing manoeuvrability.”
The updated T7 Standard Wheelbase features a redesigned front axle and front-end architecture that reduces the turning circle by 20% compared with the previous generation. The improvement is intended to make the tractors easier to manoeuvre in yards, sheds, feedlots, headlands and other confined areas.
Improved Transmission and Performance
New Holland has equipped the range with its latest transmission technologies, including the new three-range Auto Command continuously variable transmission (CVT), which delivers up to 10% greater operating efficiency, according to the company.
The Dynamic Command transmission is designed to optimise power transfer and productivity across a range of farming applications.
The tractors also offer increased operating capacity. Maximum permissible gross vehicle mass has risen by 17% to 13,500kg, while rear linkage lift capacity has increased by 20% to 7,450kg at 610mm behind the ball ends.
The upgraded platform also provides a 5.5-tonne payload capacity, giving operators greater flexibility when working with larger implements and heavier loads.
“We’ve increased both the lifting and carrying capability of the machine, while maintaining the compact dimensions and manoeuvrability that have made the Standard Wheelbase platform so popular,” McCarthy said.
“That gives operators more flexibility across a broader range of jobs without sacrificing ease of operation.”
Greater Operator Comfort and Connectivity
New Holland has also upgraded the operator environment. Cab noise has been reduced from 71 dBA to 68 dBA, while a new 270-degree front windscreen wiper provides 64% greater coverage than the previous generation.
The new Horizon cab incorporates New Holland’s latest SideWinder armrest, integrated connectivity and access to the FieldOps platform. These features allow operators to manage machine and agronomic data through a connected system.
ISOBUS compatibility and precision farming technologies further support machine control, productivity and data-driven decision-making across the farm.
The new T7 Standard Wheelbase range is available in T7.190, T7.210 and T7.225 models, offering mixed-farming operators a combination of versatility, capacity, technology and manoeuvrability.
