SharpGrade has expanded its grader blade range with the launch of the G116, a retractable-wheel grader blade designed for large agricultural skid steers and compact track loaders (CTLs) in the 75–100 horsepower class.
The new attachment builds on the success of the G109 grader blade, which introduced hydraulically retractable front wheels for mid-size machines. Strong demand from agricultural operators prompted SharpGrade to extend the same technology to larger loaders commonly used on farms, estates and agri-processing facilities.
For agricultural applications, the G116 allows operators to quickly raise or lower the front-wheel assembly directly from the cab using joystick controls. This enables precise grading for tasks such as farm road construction and maintenance, irrigation channel shaping, yard levelling, drainage work, and site preparation for sheds, silos and packhouses.
According to SharpGrade, the G116 delivers grading accuracy of up to 3 millimetres, helping farmers and agricultural contractors achieve smooth, even surfaces while working closer to boundaries, foundations and existing structures. The retractable wheel system also allows operators to straddle windrows and manoeuvre easily around obstacles such as fence lines, water points and crop storage areas, reducing rework and downtime.
The grader is designed to provide consistent results in both forward and reverse, improving efficiency during land preparation and maintenance operations.
Key features of the SharpGrade G116 include:
- QuadRod 3 linkage system, keeping the blade parallel throughout its movement for consistent grading and eliminating uneven tracking
- Sealed, lifetime-lubricated bearings, reducing maintenance demands in dusty and muddy farm environments
- Adjustable hitch plate, maintaining machine level for accurate grading and reduced wear
- Underslung walking beam, minimising wheel scuffing during tight turns in farmyards
- Dual reversible blades, reducing material build-up when working with soil, gravel and farm road aggregate
- Hydraulic side wings, enabling efficient cutting, carrying and windrowing of material during land shaping
- QuadGrade 2D system, allowing in-cab electronic grade adjustment to within 1 millimetre and compatibility with common 3D guidance systems
- Heavy-duty pins and sealed joints, designed for long service life in demanding agricultural conditions
SharpGrade says the G116’s plug-and-play design allows quick attachment to large-frame skid steers and CTLs widely used in agriculture, offering farmers and contractors a flexible alternative to dedicated graders while improving precision and productivity.
