Alapala Upgrades Wheat Flour Mill in Cameroon to 300 TPD Capacity

Alapala International Inc. has completed a comprehensive modernization and capacity expansion project for a wheat flour milling facility located in Douala, Cameroon. As part of the project, the plant’s production capacity was increased to 300 tons per day (TPD) with a fully automated, next-generation milling system.

Prior to the upgrade, the facility was operating with a lower-capacity and technologically outdated milling line. Through Alapala’s advanced engineering solutions, the plant has been transformed into a modern, high-efficiency production facility, delivering improved flour extraction rates, enhanced process control, and greater operational efficiency.

The upgraded mill is now capable of producing a wide range of high-quality flours tailored to the needs of retail channels and the local market. Equipped with state-of-the-art cleaning, grinding, and sifting technologies, along with an intelligent automation infrastructure, the facility ensures consistent product quality, reliable operations, and optimized energy consumption.

Commenting on the project, Görkem Alapala, CEO of Alapala, stated:

“This modernization project reflects our commitment to delivering advanced milling technologies that support capacity growth and product quality across Africa. We are proud to contribute to the development of industrial food processing infrastructure in the region.”

With this investment, the upgraded facility strengthens its position as a key flour supplier in Cameroon and neighbouring markets, while reinforcing Alapala’s role as a trusted technology partner in Africa’s grain processing industry.
