Automating oyster farming through groundbreaking technologies

New Zealand-based oyster-farming system FlipFarm, recently announced its plans to launch two new products at the upcoming Oyster South Industry Symposium, held from 29 February to 2 March in the US city of New Orleans

The first product, namely the high-capacity Sorter has an hourly capacity of 1.5 million oysters. This provides farmers with a seamless solution that can actually keep up by sorting oysters and repacking them for deployment, all while feeding directly from FlipFarm baskets.

The second product is the revolutionary Rigid Mesh Seed Insert that offers a plethora of benefits including faster growth, fewer doubles, and well-shaped oysters, thanks to superior seed movement. The Insert design also ensures effortless integration with the FlipFarm system, streamlining both filling and emptying processes, thereby saving valuable time and resources. Moreover, it also eliminates the need for flupsys, thus resulting in significant cost savings and simplified management.

Both these products are set to redefine efficiency and productivity in aquaculture.
