Nigerian co-op ambitious plans to train farmers

Nigeria’s National Agricultural Mechanisation Cooperative Society (NAMCS) will empower 15 million farmers including women and youth on farm mechanisation as part of its agricultural activities, reports Nigerian Tribune.

The National President of NAMCS, Aliyu Waziri said this while talking to pressmen following the inauguration of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chapter of NAMCS.

According to the president, in poultry the cooperative society would also empower 250 persons from each of the 774 local governments in the country.

The cooperative society aims to help the govt. generate employment and reduce poverty.
