New John Deere 6140B CAB tractor hits Africa Middle East market
Complementing the current 6B model line-up, the John Deere 6140B Cab tractor has a heavy-duty frame and long wheelbase, and is available in a Standard and Premium version. Its specs and performance features are designed to fully satisfy farmers in almost every agricultural speciality, from grain, high-value crops, hay and forage to sugar cane and timber. The robust 6140B is ideal for dedicated contract work as well.
The Standard Cab has a 12F/4R TSS 40km/h transmission with wet clutch, while the Premium Cab is equipped with a 24F/12R TSS 40km/h transmission with Hi-Lo gearing, power reverser and wet clutch. This enables clients to choose the optimal tractor for their requirements. Added to this versatility is a heavy duty Category II three-point hitch with 5 400kg hitch lift capacity, 200-bar open-centre, constant-flow hydraulics with three suction control valves, and a 540/1 000 rpm reversible power take-off (PTO).

The 24F/12R TSS 40km/h transmission, equipped with Hi-Lo power shiftable gears, boasts a 15% increase in productivity and 13% greater fuel efficiency. Included with this transmission is the PowerReverser feature, which ensures comfortable travel direction changes, adding to the convenience, efficiency and speed of operations.
Important to highlight is the heavy-duty rear axle and three planetary final drives, which add to the robust overall frame design and allow for heavy loads and trouble-free operation in any heavy duty application. The heavy-duty mechanically actuated brake discs ensure safe and reliable handling of the towed load over hilly terrain, and are ideal for dedicated haulage application,
The heavy-duty Category II three-point hitch with lift capacity of 5 400kg is equipped with hook-type hitch arms for safe and easy hook-up with the implement. Mechanical lower link sensing enhances hitch response, ensuring optimised performance of both tractor and implement in the field.
